The Touring Band continues its tour across Italian cinemas – The documentary by Daniele Cini on the life of Maestro Cesare Dell’Anna
Giro di Banda (The Touring Band) is a documentary film that tells the extraordinary story of Cesare Dell’Anna, an eclectic, talented, and rebellious musician born in the heart of Salento. Coming from a family deeply rooted in the local band tradition, Cesare transforms, with genius and determination, a family trade into a lifelong passion, pushing his music beyond every stylistic boundary.
In the film, the Maestro narrates his own story, revealing his authentic way of living music — far from the star system and talent shows — where the true and only protagonist remains music itself, pure and uncompromising.
After its world premiere at FIPADOC – Festival International Documentaire, and its participation in the Moscow International Film Festival and Bif&st 2025, Giro di Banda went on to win both the Audience Award and a Special Mention from the Jury at the 25th Flahertiana Festival in Perm, Russia.
