Apulia Location at BTM: a special project by Dinamo Film dedicated to locations
Dinamo Film presents Apulia Location at BTM, a new project providing spaces for film productions, advertising, and events. The platform, available in Italian, English, and Arabic, will be launched in an Open Beta version during its finalization phase. It will allow private individuals, businesses, and local entities to list their spaces online free of charge. The goal is to create a dynamic and constantly growing catalog, making the Apulian territory even more accessible for national and international audiovisual productions, TV commercials, and events.
The challenge of Apulia Location is to transform a place into new opportunities. From private homes and sea-view apartments to commercial premises and industrial warehouses, from masserie (traditional farmhouses) and historic residences to accommodation facilities and unusual spaces like ruins and abandoned areas: Apulia Location was created to map and enhance every type of space in Puglia, turning it into a potential backdrop for cinema, advertising, and major events. The project will be officially presented by Dinamo Film—a film and audiovisual production company active in the region for over fifteen years—at BTM (Stand 2B) in Bari, held at the Fiera del Levante from February 25 to 27.
“The idea of sharing the database we’ve built over the years with Dinamo Film represents an opportunity for simplification for both owners and industry professionals,” states Luigia Marino, Apulian location manager and project lead. “At the same time, it acts as a multiplier of opportunities for a territory that, besides being extraordinarily beautiful, offers a European ‘unicum’: a variety of landscapes and architecture concentrated in such a long and narrow strip of land.”
The project fits into the broader landscape of sustainable tourism and regional regeneration. Audiovisual productions not only generate direct employment and indirect revenue for technicians, crews, artisans, catering services, transport, and hotels but also strengthen the tourist appeal of locations and the economy of related commercial activities. A territory that becomes a set gains national and international visibility, stimulating tourism flows linked to discovering places seen on screen.
Simultaneously, the enhancement of private properties, unused spaces, or industrial areas can trigger virtuous cycles of recovery and reuse, generating new economies and professional opportunities in various fields. Apulia Location thus serves as a strategic tool capable of connecting culture, tourism, business, and the local community, making Puglia a great “disseminated set.”
“Dinamo Film continues to believe in the potential of the Apulian territory and to invest in its growth,” declares Ivan D’Ambrosio, CEO and Producer. “The Apulia Location project represents a step forward in the quality of services offered to those seeking suitable locations in Puglia for audiovisual productions, advertising communication, or event planning. Our assets are the information we possess, the experience of our location managers, the relationships cultivated in the area, and the know-how in organizing every activity with great attention to detail and human relations. With advanced and digitalized tools like Apulia Location, we aim to attract more international productions to the region, with whom we have already collaborated. The secret of locations is that they cannot exist without the human factor and the professionalism of those who manage them.”
The platform works both ways: those looking for a location can browse the online catalog, using search filters (by type, technical characteristics, position, accessibility, available services) to quickly find the space best suited to their needs; those who own a space can propose it for free. After verification, the location enters the catalog and becomes visible to industry professionals. The goal is to create concrete connections between private property and the creative industry.
Project partners include: Aeroporti di Puglia, Ferrovie Appulo Lucane, Grotte di Castellana, Cala Ponte Marina Resort, with the patronage of the Municipality of Santa Cesarea Terme.
